Families looking for a free weekend activity can head to the Dearborn Historical Museum's Family Fall Fest on Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Commandant's Quarters, 21950 Michigan Ave.
The event runs from noon to 4 p.m. and includes games, crafts and trick-or-treating. Admission is free.
The fest is part of the museum's 12th annual fall festival, a two-day lineup that also features a Halloween party for ages 21 and older on Friday, Oct. 9. The Dearborn City Council's Sept. 8 agenda included a proposed resolution to approve a special event permit, grant a noise waiver and waive permit fees for the Museum Guild of Dearborn.
The Friday night event, Brews & Boos, runs from 6 to 11 p.m. at the same location. Presale tickets cost $30, or $20 for a nonalcoholic option. Tickets at the door are $35 and $25, respectively. All tickets include six drink tickets.
For questions about either event, residents can call the museum at (313) 565-3000.
