Ford Field Park transforms into a legendary-creature-themed haunted trail starting Friday, Oct. 16, when Dearborn's Haunted Trail returns for three nights of woodland scares.
Dearborn Haunted Trail: Creatures of the Woods runs Friday, Oct. 16, through Sunday, Oct. 18, at Ford Field Park, 22051 Cherry Hill Road. The event, presented by Ford Community Relations, opens nightly at 7 p.m., according to the city's announcement.
The attraction features creatures inspired by folklore along a wooded walking route. General admission runs from 7 to 9:30 p.m. each night. Advance tickets cost $10; day-of tickets are $15. Each ticket covers one walk-through, and reentry is not permitted.
Tickets are reserved by date and time slot. The city warns that guests arriving within 10 minutes of their slot's end may be turned away if the trail is at capacity. Organizers recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early.
Adults 18 and older can purchase tickets for a separate Witching Hour session, powered by Mustang Fence, that runs from 10 to 11 p.m. each night and promises intensified scares. A valid ID is required.
Families with young children or sensory sensitivities get their own window. A free, sensory-friendly trick-or-treating trail runs Friday, Oct. 16, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Registration is encouraged but not required, according to the event's ticketing page. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Witching Hour is restricted to adults.
The trail runs through unpaved woods and may be difficult for strollers and wheelchairs. Strobe lights and intense lighting effects are used during general admission and Witching Hour sessions, so the event may not be suitable for guests with epilepsy or light-sensitivity conditions. The event is rain or shine; refunds are available only if the event is canceled, and tickets can be transferred to another person.
Beyond the trail, the park will have a Treat Tent selling cider, donuts and s'mores kits, a Fire Pit Lounge with bonfires, local food trucks and a live DJ in the Party Pavilion.
Advance tickets and full details are available at the Dearborn Haunted Trail ticketing page.
