Two Dearborn middle school teams finished their fall seasons without a loss, each winning a city championship.
The Salina Wildcats claimed the girls volleyball city title, and the Bryant Eagles took the boys football city championship, Dearborn Public Schools announced on its Instagram account. Both squads went undefeated.
Dearborn Public Schools Superintendent Mike Esseily offered his own congratulations on Instagram, praising all of the district’s middle school football and volleyball athletes. He singled out the Bryant Eagles as boys football city champions and the Salina Wildcats as girls volleyball city champions.
For Bryant, the football title is a repeat. The school’s Instagram post declared the Eagles “back-to-back champions,” saying the team finished undefeated and won the city championship the day before the post went up.
“The hard work paid off, and the title stays with us!” the school wrote.
