Fifty-one Dearborn households earned top honors from the City Beautiful Commission for their Halloween, harvest and fall displays.

The city announced the Fall Aglow recognition program winners on Oct. 23, with volunteer commissioners selecting standout seasonal displays across all 17 judging districts. Another 100 households received honorable mention.

Top honorees will be invited to a celebratory dinner with Mayor Abdullah Hammoud and City Beautiful commissioners in early 2027, according to the city. All selected households will also receive a window decal marking their Fall Aglow recognition.

The commission recognized 45 homes in 2024 and 51 in 2025, matching this year’s total.

Three homes per district were chosen. Among the named honorees: Sadie Jones at 7323 Orchard in District One, Fay Srour at 6431 Kendal and Jeanane Charara at 6400 Argyle in District Two, and Amir Abuhmoud at 7040 Calhoun in District Four.

In District Nine, Mohamad Haidar at 22235 Nowlin, Lawrence and Patricia Johnson at 22603 Nona, and Melissa Murray at 22510 Edison all took top spots. District 13 honorees included Bilal Saad at 23820 Buckingham, Lara Dabajeh at 917 N. Highland and Ali and Layel Bazzi at 23631 Hollander.

The city directs residents to its Facebook page to see the winning displays and invites them to view the decorations in person. The full list of 51 addresses is available on the city’s website.
